Is life by design or a random accident?

If the universe was created by design then there must be a conscious creator behind it. If life is a random accident then it seems that consciousness should not be possible. Now here we are attempting to answer an unanswerable question.

It seems that only faith, or the lack thereof, will determine our individual opinion on this matter. Yet, it is only our ability to think in a purposeful manner that enables us to make our choice. Behind purpose and thought lies design, which is the act of conceiving or planning prior to seeing a result.

Is it possible that both conscious design and random circumstance could both be at work (or play) in the universe? Might we be a happy accident within a universe designed for the possibility of our eventual evolvement?

Following the clues set before us takes us on a journey where every turn reveals a new set of questions. Every answer matches the form of our previous questions only to change shape as if it were more fluid than solid as new questions come about.

Perhaps life itself is not a question meant to be answered. There is no ultimate solution to this puzzle or end to the game. Life is life. It is meant to be lived as we choose to mold it to fit our individual assumptions and perspectives.

Accepting this as a form of truth should enable us to live within a world of great diversity and apparently conflicting beliefs without disrupting our own ideas of reality. Every possibility is simply an experience waiting for the right circumstance.

Regardless of our belief, one way or another, we plan our days and deal with apparent chaos and confusion. Life! Amazing isn’t it?
