About

Michael Hoyt Matthew is a multi-media storyteller.

His characters often live in the shadows of life, that zone where good and evil battle for the souls of men, women, and children.  They wrestle with internal demons and external demands.

He might easily be described as a multiple personality author.  His stories are as often as not disruptive, disturbing, and psychologically unsettling.  Tread lightly.  You may find yourself standing before a mirror staring into the face of your own murky self.

His characters offer a glimpse into humanity’s propensity for love and hate, to be charitable and greedy, to seek forgiveness and to exact revenge.  They speak to our desire for hope and our fear of despair.  His stories reveal the face behind the mask, explore the depths of the dark caverns that wind and twist within our imperfect mind, and lay bare the soul of our shared humanity.

These are stories of people at the edge of their circumstance.  They stand at the proverbial fork in the road where destiny beckons and devastation waits with bated breath.  Change is unavoidable.

The story is all that matters.  Rules of propriety and grammar will be bent to fit the needs of the story, always.  Apologies are unlikely.
